Saia Goes swimming 2020
Room5 Swimming Lesson
At the swimming pool I learnt how to get on and off the boat safely.
There was a small boat in the water and we had to wear life jackets. The teachers wobbled the boat so it felt like rough seas. We had to hold onto the sides so we didn't fall off. When the boat capsized we learnt how to stay safe underneath. This was really challenging for me because it was scary to be trapped and I wanted to get free. It felt nice to climb back inside the boat and be safe.
I learnt that i should lock my legs straight and paddle my arms to my sides to float on top of the water if I was to be lost at sea. These are the survival skills I learnt.
I have gotten so much better at swimming and feel relaxed in the water.
